GOIL PLC Board Embarks on Onboarding and Familiarization Tour

The Board of Directors of GOIL PLC has commenced a comprehensive onboarding and familiarization programme with working visits to key operational sites in Accra, reaffirming the company’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

The programme began on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, with a tour of GOIL’s new Head Office complex at Dzorwulu. Led by the Head of Operations, Ing. Denis Nii-Komiete Amui, the Board received detailed briefings on the state-of-the-art facility, which is now more than 90% complete.

Designed to reflect GOIL’s future-focused outlook, the modern office complex incorporates green and sustainable features, including underground parking, three independent power supply systems (national grid, standby generators, and solar panels), as well as three water supply sources (mechanised borehole, Ghana Water Company grid connection, and rainwater harvesting). These forward-looking innovations underscore GOIL’s vision of being a model energy company championing Ghana’s energy transition.

Board Chairman, Nana Philip Archer, commended the remarkable progress of the project, noting that the facility will stand as a landmark of GOIL’s growth, efficiency, and ambition. He emphasized the Board’s satisfaction with the project’s alignment with the company’s strategic direction.

In the afternoon, the delegation proceeded to the Jetty/Joint User Hydrant Installation (JUHI) at Kotoka International Airport. The Head of Technical Services, supported by management, highlighted JUHI’s critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and world-class aviation fuel supply. The Board gained firsthand insight into the operational infrastructure and safety systems that underpin GOIL’s leadership in aviation fuelling.

Management emphasized that these familiarization tours are designed to deepen the Board’s appreciation of GOIL’s strategic assets, thereby strengthening oversight, enhancing effective decision-making, and ensuring long-term value creation for stakeholders.

The onboarding programme will continue with further visits to GOIL installations across the country, as the company pursues its mission of delivering value, innovation, and excellence in Ghana’s energy sector.
